Keeping the “Public Option” for Low-Income Housing

past event

Penn’s Fox-Fels Hall, 3814 Walnut Street, First Floor

Co-Sponsored by Penn IUR and the Fox Leadership Program, please join us for a lunch talk with Susan M. Hoffmann, Professor of Political Science, Western Michigan University. An expert on the Federal Home Loan Bank system, Dr. Hoffmann is an award-winning scholar at Western Michigan University, Cleveland’s former Capital Budget Manager, and author of Politics and Banking (Johns Hopkins University Press) and numerous articles including several in Public Administration Review. She will discuss the growing unmet need in the U.S. for affordable low-income housing and answer the questions: Has the “public option” failed? How did we get here? What can public managers do on the ground? Lunch will be served. To RSVP, please email Euria Chung at echung@upenn.edu.
