The first event in a four-part film series on urban planning and public health where we screened three of the videos from the  acclaimed PBS documentary series, Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making Us Sick? (2009. “Place Matters” asks why your ZIP code should predict your health and lifespan; “Becoming American” looks at Mexican immigrants in Kennett Square, PA, featuring Penn physician Dr. Stephen Larson; and “Not Just a Paycheck” is about the health consequences of job layoffs. This event was co-sponsored by the Department of City and Regional Planning, School of Design; Penn’s Center for Public Health Initiatives; and the Planners Network.
