Penn IUR’s publication library is comprised of four major types of publications: the City in the 21st Century book series that Penn IUR produces with Penn Press; Penn IUR-produced reports and electronic publications; our White Paper Series; and, finally, Penn IUR Faculty Fellow Publications.
The City in the 21st Century Series with Penn Press showcases interdisciplinary, place-based scholarship on broad-ranging urban issues including global urbanization, disaster response, cultural co-existence, urban leadership and metropolitan revitalization.
Our Urban Research eJournal, published through the Social Science Research Network, gathers and distributes new research that addresses the governance, policy, economics, design and social issues that surround global urbanization. Our monthly electronic digest, Urban Link, highlights Penn IUR's news and events in the context of timely urban issues. Penn IUR also publishes several regular print publications, including our bi-annual print newsletter and our annual report.
Penn IUR's white papers on sustainable urban development preview ongoing research related to urban development and sustainable cities. Papers accepted into this refereed series are also published in the Urban Research eJournal.
The latest research from Penn IUR's more than 70 Faculty Fellows, who are drawn from across the University and work on such cross-disciplinary topics as immigration, race and urban inequality; health and aging; urban spatial analytics; and global urbanization.
