Penn IUR and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) hosted a discussion of urban resiliency metrics and climate change impacts. Presenters includeed city and national leaders who are at the forefront of taking on the challenge of resiliency at the city level, with a focus on long-term planning to deal with sea level rise and climate change. Panelists included Howard Kunreuther, Co-Director, Risk Management and Decision Processes Center, The Wharton School; Wayne Pathman, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Pathman Lewis LLC; Jamie Springer, Senior Principal, HR&A Advisors, Inc.; Walter Meyer, Principal, Local Office Landscape Architecture; Marion McFadden, Vice President of Policy, Enterprise Community Solutions; and Harriet Tregoning, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Community Planning and Development, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Their presentations were followed with a conversation led by moderator Michael Berman, Founder, Berman Consulting, LLC.
