Exploring the forthcoming book by Briggs, Popkin, and Goering, this panel offered lessons on place gleaned through extensive research on the federal Moving to Opportunity pilot program. Speakers included: Bruce Katz, Brookings Institution; Ira Harkavy, University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships; Susan Popkin, Urban Institute; Roger Williams, Annie E. Casey Foundation; and Susan Wachter, Penn Institute for Urban Research. Presented in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnership and Next American City magazine. The seminar was free and open to the public; registration required.
