In a new video on Bonaire, an island municipality of the Netherlands off the coast of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean, Professor Poldergeist explains why it made international news when judges in The Hague issued their ruling in the Greenpeace Bonaire climate lawsuit. They found that the government of the Netherlands violated the human rights of island residents by not offering the same level of climate protection enjoyed by residents of the European Netherlands. With that, Greenpeace Bonaire set another important legal precedent. This project is a collaboration between faculty fellows Simon Richter and Joshua Mosley
