Ryan Rodriguez is a junior from Connecticut studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with a minor in American Public Policy. His interests include affordable housing, economic development, and equitable healthcare financing, with a focus on how policies and institutions affect urban communities. This summer, he participated in a research project with Dr. Lance Freeman examining economic opportunities available to residents of public housing developments across American cities. He also worked as an Administrative Intern at Northern Westchester Hospital, where he explored the impact of changes in federal funding on community hospitals and access to care. At Penn, Ryan also assists the Research Workforce Development team at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
