Join us for a discussion based on Nature and Cities: The Ecological Imperative in Urban Design and Planning, a new publication of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Co-editor and Dean and Paley Professor, School of Design, Frederick Steiner, moderates a discussion of among book contributors including Jose Alminana and Carol Franklin, Principals, Andropogon, Adrian Benepe, Senior Vice President and Director of City Park Development, Trust for Public Land, Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, Associate Professor of Architecture, City College of New York, and Richard Weller, Martin and Margy Meyerson Chair of Urbanism and Professor and Chair of Landscape Architecture, School of Design. Named one of the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Best Books of 2016, Nature and Cities explores the economic, environmental, and public health benefits of integrating nature more fully into cities and of linking ecological information to actions across many scales, communities, and regions.
