Penn IUR Fellows in Urban Leadership The Penn IUR Fellows in Urban Leadership Program (FUL) connects undergraduates interested in urban issues with high-level government, business, and civil leaders to inspire them to become tomorrow’s urban leaders.

Affiliated Doctoral Network Through our interdisciplinary network of PhD students, Penn IUR nurtures a community of urban-focused doctoral students, providing opportunities to present research and learn from one-another.

Undergraduate Urban Research Colloquium (UURC) This innovative research program pairs faculty conducting urban-focused scholarship with undergraduates that have an interest in developing research skills in a semester-long, credit-bearing seminar.

Urban Doctoral Symposium Every May, the Penn Institute for Urban Research, in collaboration with the Penn Urban Studies Program, celebrates the achievements of Penn doctoral students who have recently completed dissertations on urban-focused topics.

Nussdorf Student Awards Each year, several undergraduate students are awarded the 2024 Lawrence C. Nussdorf Student Award. The award is named for the late Lawrence C. Nussdorf, founding Penn IUR board member, who deeply valued the brilliance and enthusiasm of Penn's undergraduate students.

Master of Urban Spatial Analytics (MUSA) The MUSA (Master of Urban Spatial Analytics) degree is a 9-month masters program coupling spatial analysis with substantive knowledge in an urban content area of the student's choosing.
