Event Recap

How can science and technology help cities solve their problems? Are there common urban air, water, and energy challenges for science to tackle?

This symposium—sponsored by Penn Global, Penn Engineering, the Penn School of Arts and Sciences, the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, the Water Center at Penn, and Penn IUR—will bring together experts on the cities of Grenoble, France; Philadelphia; and Seoul, Korea, to discuss these questions. Providing sufficient clean air, water, and energy to meet the needs of our rapidly growing urban populations are some of the most urgent challenges of the day. This symposium will help define and explore the specific challenges facing these three cities and will start conversations to bridge basic science and engineering research with urban applications.

This event is free, but registration is required.
