U.S. Forest Service Urban Field Station Coming to Philadelphia

The U.S. Forest Service opened an Urban Field Station in Philadelphia. Michael T. Rains, Director of the Northern Research Station of the U.S. Forest Service, and Phillip Rodbell, Acting Coordinator for the new U.S. Forest Service Philadelphia Field Station discussed the new Station and opportunities to collaborate, including the Sustainability Science Fellowship, a new program of the US Forest Service Philadelphia Field Station and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Participants learned about and dialogue with program leaders on the opportunity and the type of work to be funded in collaboration with Penn and other institutions.
