On NPR’s Morning Edition, Penn IUR Co-Director and Wharton Professor of Real Estate and Finance Susan Wachter joined host A Martínez to discuss President Trump’s recent proposal for a 50 year mortgage, a plan aimed at lowering monthly payments and expanding homeownership access.
Wachter acknowledged the appeal: “It will [help lower monthly payments]. And that’s the plus side. That’s a small silver lining of this problematic cloud.”
