Seattle Completes Two-Year United Nations Generation Restoration Program

A new Seattle.gov post highlights how United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) (via its Generation Restoration initiative) selected Seattle Parks and Recreation to join a global cohort—making Seattle the only U.S. “Role Model City.” Seattle’s engagement contributed to a joint study with Penn Institute for Urban Research (Penn IUR) and UNEP to explore how nature-based solutions can be integrated into urban finance and planning systems.
