With funding from Analytics at Wharton, Susan Wachter, Co-Director of Penn Institute for Urban Research and Shane Jensen, Professor of Statistics and Data Science, worked with Desen Lin and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) to determine the economic effects of PHS's Philadelphia LandCare Program, which cleans and "greens" abandoned lots throughout the city, working with communities and neighborhoods to make a positive impact.
