Ari B. Friedman is a Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute and a sixth-year M.D./Ph.D. student in health economics at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and the Wharton School. His research interests include the industrial organization of the unscheduled care system (primary care clinics, urgent care and retail clinics, and emergency departments), access to care and insurance, and financially integrating population health into the medical system.
