Heidi is a third-year PhD candidate at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She studies applied microeconomics with a focus on real estate and urban economics. Her current research is on the suburbanization of American poverty and its consequences for local public finance and inequality. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia in the Regional/Microeconomics team. Heidi received her BA in Economics from Pomona College in 2019, with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.
