J. Robert Hillier, FAIA is a principal of Studio Hillier, Architects. He is also the CEO of Hillier Properties, a firm that designs and develops environments that meet a community need, enhance the neighborhood in which they exist, and represent the very best in architectural and sustainable design while delivering a reasonable return to their investors. He is also a Core Faculty Member of the Princeton University School of Architecture. Hillier is the Publisher of Princeton Magazine. He recently served as Chairman of the Board for the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Founder of Hillier Architecture (1966) which he merged with RMJM in 2007, he is a member of the College of Fellows, American Institute of Architects, a Founding Member of the New Jersey Green Building Council, and the recipient of the Michael Graves AIA medal and the NJIT President’s medal for Lifetime Achievement. In 2019, NJIT renamed their School of Architecture as the J.Robert and Barbara A. Hillier College of Architecture and Design in honor of the couple’s contributions to the profession of Architecture.
