Dr. Jacques Gordon is the Director of the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Wisconsin School of Business. Previously, he was Executive-in-Residence at the MIT Center for Real Estate and Global Strategist for LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle), a global real estate money manager with $65 billion in assets under management.

Jacques received the “Graaskamp Award” from the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) for his contributions to real estate research and education. He originated the Jones Lang LaSalle Transparency Index in 1999, which has become the world standard for understanding international real estate. Prior to joining LaSalle, Jacques was head of strategy and research at Baring Asset Management (New York), Real Estate Research Corp (Chicago), The Joint Center for Housing Studies (Cambridge, MA) and he was a Research Associate at the Urban Institute (Washington, DC). He served on the Executive Committee of Wharton’s Zell-Lurie Center for Real Estate from 2012-2017, and he served as Chair of the Metropolitan Planning Council of Chicago in 2015-2016. He is past President of the Real Estate Research Institute and is a regular author/editor for the Journal of Portfolio Management, the PREA Quarterly, and Institutional Real Estate.

Jacques received his PhD from MIT, a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches “International Real Estate” at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University. He enjoys cycling, sailing and reading.
