Yeeun Yoo is a rising junior and Civic Scholar from Charlotte studying Urban Studies and Sociology with a minor in Asian American Studies at Penn. She is passionate about community organizing, food sovereignty, labor justice, and mutual aid. Yeeun spent the past summer with the People’s Kitchen as part of the Gordon Fellowship, exploring intersections of food justice, community care, and abolition. She is an ASAM Fellow researching gender norms, citizenship, and military conscription in Korea. At Penn, she also serves as Community Partner Coordinator at Civic House, collaborating with Moder Patshala in West Philly.
