Ziyi Tang is a Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, specializing in transportation planning and urban design. As a graduate researcher with UPenn's Future Cities Initiative led by Professor Zhongjie Lin, Ziyi applies his rich educational background—holding a Master of City Planning from MIT, with concentrations in City Design & Development and Urban Informatics, a Master of Science in Design from UPenn, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Hunan University—to his research.
His research focuses on the interplay between autonomous vehicles, urban planning, and urban design, working toward an academic career. Ziyi is committed to crafting spatial solutions that adapt to emerging mobility trends and incorporate multi-modal systems into a vibrant and diverse environment.
