Penn IUR and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia have just published five working papers in conjunction “Reinventing Our Communities: Transforming Our Economies” a national biennial conference series held in late September. This signature event, hosted by the Philadelphia Fed, Penn IUR and several other co-hosts, drew hundreds of community developers, planners, government leaders, bankers, researchers, and foundation representatives from across the country. Participants engaged in forward-looking conversations regarding revitalizing our communities in equitable and inclusive ways. The 2016 conference highlighted strategies to create places of opportunity, develop the local workforce for a global marketplace, and provide wealth and opportunity inclusively to all segments of the population.
