In celebration of its 10th year anniversary, the Penn Institute for Urban Research will be hosting a series of special events this fall. The lineup includes “Sustainable, Equitable, Urban Food Systems,”  on September 30th, which will bring together practitioners and scholars to explore emerging trends and innovations in urban food security. On November 11, Penn IUR will host “Urban Fiscal Responsibility and Public Pensions,” a discussion with leading practitioners and researchers on the complex fiscal issues facing cities, focusing on the legacy issues of the funding of pensions, and looking forward to strategies that will support financial sustainability. More events will be announced over the course of the semester, so please stay tuned to the events section of our website. We hope you’ll join us!
