Jasmine Siyu Wu

Jasmine Siyu Wu (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in City & Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, concentrating on transportation planning. She is also a graduate researcher at the Center for Safe Mobility led by Professor Megan Ryerson, contributing to the accessibility and equity research on teen driving education. She received a Master of City Planning (Sustainable Transportation and Infrastructure Planning) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in GeoDesign from the University of Southern California.

Her research focuses on the intersection of transportation safety, equity, and accessibility, specifically why some people are more vulnerable to unsafe conditions. Aiming for a career in academia, she is dedicated to building an active, safe, efficient, and just transportation system by taking advantage of scientific and technological development in other fields.
