Skyla Rimple is a senior majoring in Urban Studies with a concentration in International Affairs. Her research focuses on international affordable housing finance in Barcelona, New York, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Athens. In partnership with Penn Abroad, she began the "URBS Goes Global" initiative, informing underclassmen of prospective work, study, and research programs to study international urban planning. She is the Co-Chair of the Urban Studies Undergraduate Advisory Board, Co-Chair of the Speaker and Content committee for TEDxPenn, and Co-Chair of the Community Service committee for Campus Curlz. Her work at Reinvestment Fund, Project 351, Henry C. Lea Elementary School, Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, and the Massachusetts State Senate has shaped her passion to pursue further education and a career in urban planning after graduation.
